Workflow of Cinelerra is   decode -> modify -> look -> encode. Modify and
look need full decoding.
Cinelerra decompresses video first before it can work on it.
Ok.
 It decompresses (i.e. decodes) it, but to what format ?
Does Cinelerra decompresses it to YUV4MPEG ? Something other ?
Same question about audio.
