[CinCV TNG] Finding One's Way to Cinelerra; Was: [CinCV Old] make error

Replying late, but because I didn't figure what I'll tell you earlier
myself.

I have been, since yesterday, trying to build me Cinelerra-CV, the
current git version. Will tell more about my efforts later.

Just, I did have this error in my first tries, like your error below:

I think you need to leave out "--with-external-ffmpeg" and go with the
default internal ffmpeg. At least that worked (in that part) for me.

But have a look, John, at what list I'm replying.

So, I'm only trying to tell to other people, who might not know it, like
I didn't know it until I went for a few hours worth of searching and
reading for information, that is until yesterday, that, sadly, there are
three Cinelerra's at this time.

And it appears to me the

based Cinelerra-CV will be my choice (I'm a long time user of Cinelerra,
I am on Gentoo, I have some issues left, and I hope to soon share my
tentatives at building of Cinelerra on this list).

I surely hope there might be togetherness in FOSS some day with the
inventor of Cinelerra and the other developers...
